iCE3 Wireless Telemetry Circuit Extender

wireless telemetry device GPRS capable

The iCE3, commonly referred to as the "iCEQube", is a wireless telemetry device that enables non-GPRS capable devices to be remotely accessed or telemetered through a GPRS network. Such devices (which are fitted with an RS232 port), include dataloggers, PLCs and intelligent instruments.

iCE3 provides all the GPRS network connectivity, link maintenance and if necessary, RS232 handshaking required to successfully communicate with, and send wireless data the host device.

The iCE3 has been rapidly accepted by the market since its release in March 2004 and is performing effectively and reliably in a number of wireless telemetry installations, including environmental datalogging, flow metering and remote wireless control.

Based on a high performance wireless GSM/GPRS modem core from Wavecom, the iCE3 is packaged in a compact metal enclosure with easy access to the SIM card and power, communications and antenna connectors. A distinctive blue status LED provides indication for diagnostic purposes. The power requirements are minimal, making a permanently on-line GPRS link easily and efficiently achieved.

The iCE3 comes complete with a power lead and mounting brackets. Optional accessories include a small stubby antenna and a serial data communication cable that is pre-wired for the intended host device.

All iQuest System DO® intelligent hardware products as well as Campbell Scientific Inc and Unidata dataloggers are supported by the iCE3 wireless telemetry module.
